Nasa – hack reveals space agency vulnerable to malware
Following the news this week that hackers managed to get into Nasa’s internal network, it has now been revealed that up 10,000 machines in the space agency are affected by malware.
According to a report by International Business Times, the US space agency does not have the best possible cyber-security practices and needs to completely overhaul how it secures its internal network.
It was revealed that not only had Nasa been hacked, but that the hackers had been able to do so for several months, without being detected. During that time, the hackers were able to stealing a huge amount of data relating to Nasa employees, flight logs and videos taken from Nasa's research drones and weather radars.
