Amethyst are looking for highly experienced security professionals to join our expanding Associates Scheme.

We are seeking individuals with skills and experience including:

  • Confidence in representing safety in both internal and customer meetings

  • Ability to present and articulate safety principles to both a technical and a non-technical audience

  • Good documentation skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills, a desire to provide excellent customer service, whilst possessing aspirations of extending their technical expertise

  • Flexible proactive attitude

  • Ability to work independently, manage own time and work to deadlines


  • UK Bachelor’s Degree or higher or an equivalent qualification in a relevant subject

  • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. SIRA, CISSP, ISO27001 Lead Auditor)

  • Proven track record of experience of working in the Information Assurance/ cyber security field

  • Proven track record of experience of working in the System Safety field

  • Understanding and experience of system safety concepts, methodologies and best practice

  • Working knowledge of compliance with relevant legislation and regulations

  • Working knowledge of compliance with IT security policy and procedures including Cabinet Office SPF, HMG IA Standards, and NCSC Good Practice Guides (GPG).


    The majority of Amethyst’s work is in the south-east, M4/M3 corridor but you must be willing to  travel and undergo the Government security clearance process.
